Man shot, killed on Spring Garden Street in Greensboro; homicide investigation underway

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating a homicide that happened in the 2800 block of Spring Garden Street Friday night, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release. Aldrek Jabreel Strong, 23, of Sedelia, was shot and killed at 2819 Spring Garden St. at around 9:45 p.m. Officers were sent to an apartment where they found him suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was identified as Rayvon Daleyon Wall, 21, of Greensboro.

He was found in an apartment building and taken into custody a short time after the shooting. Wall is charged with first-degree murder and is in the Guilford County jail with no bond.
