HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man was hit by a car after being chased into the street by a pit bull on West English Road in High Point Tuesday night.
According to a news release from the High Point Police Department, the incident occurred when the pit bull broke its leash when the pedestrian walked by. The pedestrian stepped back to avoid the dog and was struck by the passing car.
Another person passing by was bitten by the dog.
The dog’s owner, Tiffany Marsden, was arrested and charged with animals running at large and keeping a dangerous dog. She’s scheduled to appear in court on July 8.
The driver was not charged and the victim was taken to High Point Regional. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.
