Man hides in Winston-Salem theater, points gun at employee

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for a man who broke into a movie theater Sunday morning and pointed a gun at a movie theater employee.

The assault happened at the Carmike Cinemas, located at 3640 Reynolda Road just before noon.

A 20-year-old movie theater employee was confronted by the suspect who was hiding inside the business. The suspect pointed a handgun at the employee before running out of the building.

There were no injuries and the investigation is ongoing.
