Man found injured in Burlington parking lot

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police said they’re looking for a suspect after a man was found lying in a parking lot bleeding from his head.

Police said they found the victim outside of Maxway retail store at 516 N. Church St. around 11 a.m. Friday.

The victim said he was assaulted in front of a location at 620 N. Church St. by an unknown suspect with a sharp object.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 40s, about 5’8” with short black hair, a black and gray beard, a cream colored zip hooded coat, blue jeans and black shoes.

Police said an ambulance took the victim to Alamance Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released for his injuries.
