Man fires gun during armed robbery at Papa John’s in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are looking for a suspect after he entered Papa John’s Pizza in Burlington Wednesday, fired a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers responded to the pizza place at 1809 N. Church St., to the report of an armed robbery around 11:29 p.m.

Witnesses say the suspect fired a handgun and demanded money. He then forced the employee to the back of the business before fleeing the business.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5’5” tall, 150 pounds, and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
