NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A man died after an accident in North Myrtle Beach on Thursday afternoon, according to WMBF.
The accident happened at Aloha Watersports at 2:15 p.m.
North Myrtle Beach spokesperson Pat Dowling told WMBF a man fell off a banana boat and wound up face-down in the water.
The man was brought to shore and lifeguards performed CPR and used a defibrillator.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he passed away.
Dowling told WMBF lifeguards said it appeared the man suffered a heart attack.
The man’s identity has not been released as of Thursday evening.
