MORGANTON, N.C. — A man was arrested Wednesday night in connection with a triple homicide that happened this past August in Morganton.
Donald Kincaid was charged with one count of first-degree murder.
Police were called to a home on Aug. 10 after paramedics found Kincaid with blood on his face and out of breath.
Inside the home, officers discovered three people dead, including Kincaid's girlfriend Barbara Johnson, her son Freddie Thompson and family friend Zakiya Bey.
Investigators said all three died from blunt-force trauma but court documents said officers found clear signs of a struggle.
Kincaid told then "one thing led to another" after he saw his girlfriend dancing with another man.
Since the incident, Kincaid has been hospitalized.
Court documents said he had serious injuries to his right side and what appeared to be bite marks the morning of the killings.
Kincaid is in jail without bond. His first appearance in court is Thursday.
