Man charged after shooting in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police have charged a man in connection with a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon.

James Benjamin Bolds III, 26, of Burlington, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Graham Street.

One victim was shot in the leg. He was transported to Alamance Regional Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.

The victim and Bolds were reportedly acquaintances prior to the incident.

Bolds was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
