Man assaulted, robbed in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man was assaulted and robbed as he was walking on Summit Avenue in Greensboro Sunday evening.

Officers responded around 6 p.m. after the victim said he had just been robbed.

The victim said a man approached him, demanded money and assaulted him with an unknown object.

Two other suspects approached him and after obtaining money from the victim, they fled the area.

The victim was transported to the local hospital for a non life-threatening injury.

The first suspect was described as a black male, in his 20s, wearing a blue and white jersey, and armed with an unknown object. The other two suspects were described as black males, wearing orange shirts and blue jeans.

The investigation is ongoing.
