Man arrested, charged after shooting in Greensboro sends man to hospital


GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Siler City man was arrested and charged following a shooting in Greensboro on Saturday, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.

Antonio Blackwell, 25, of Siler City, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

At 6:54 p.m., police responded to the 900 block of Wild Wolf Drive in reference to a shooting. 

When they arrived, officers found a 45-year-old Greensboro man in stable condition with a gunshot wound, according to an incident report.

He was taken to a local hospital by EMS.

He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
