HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Virginia man was arrested Saturday after he showed up at a motel to have sex with a 5-year-old girl, according to law enforcement.

Federal agents, along with state and local police were waiting for Louis Ponterio at an Econo Lodge when he went to meet a woman who he thought was accompanied by her younger daughter. Instead, undercover agents were waiting for him in room 116.

Police said they seized marijuana, a teddy bear, cough syrup, Hershey’s kisses, a sex toy and other items from Ponterio.

After searching his home police also found marijuana plants, cash, weapons and what they called “digital” evidence.

Ponterio was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, using electronic means for procuring minors, object sexual penetration by force, the sale and distribution of marijuana, and forcible intercourse with a victim under 13 as well as prostitution.
