Man accused of assaulting teens in Gaston Co. park days after jail release

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Police say an intoxicated man sexually assaulted two teens in a park just four days after he was released from jail.

According to WBTV, Ondrea Sherroid Lee Strong, 24, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery, one count of assault on a female, communicating threats, larceny and intoxicated and disruptive.

The incident occurred at Woodlawn Park in Mount Holly.

The man was accused of assaulting a 16-year-old, 18-year-old and a third woman.

The victims told police Strong had assaulted and inappropriately touched them while he was intoxicated.

Police did not say when this incident took place.

Strong was taken into custody and being held at the Gaston County Jail under a $20,000 bond.
