Man, 18, accused of shooting at NC deputy, still wanted

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities in Wake County are searching for an armed and dangerous man who is wanted for shooting at deputy overnight, according to WTVD-TV.

Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, 18-year-old Alexander Oregon Gallardo was inside a stolen vehicle being chased by a Wake County deputy when he fired gunshots outside of the vehicle, striking the deputy’s car. The stolen vehicle then crashed and those inside fled the scene on foot.

Officials said Gallardo is the only one still at large and no one was seriously injured. He was last seen in the area of Lake Woodard and Terminal Drive in Raleigh.
