HIGH POINT, N.C.– The Special Olympics “Flame of Hope” came through High Point Thursday morning.

It’s part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is the largest fundraiser for The Special Olympics.

Thousands of officers from all 50 states participate in the event every year.

Officers from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and Greensboro Police handed the torch off to the High Point Police Department, who then handed it off to officers from Kernersville.
