Local law enforcement officials increase patrols for Memorial Day weekend

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. – With more people on the road and at local lakes this Memorial Day weekend, law enforcement agencies are making sure people behind the wheel aren’t putting others at risk.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol and Wildlife Resources Commission are working together on the “On the Road, On the Water, Don’t Drink and Drive” initiative.

FOX8’s Stephanie Ando rode along on a patrol on High Rock Lake in Davidson County. She has more on what law enforcement officers are looking for this holiday weekend.
