Lexington man accused of robbing Greensboro bank arrested

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man accused of robbing a Greensboro bank is in custody, according to Susan Danielsen with Greensboro police.

Keith Seymour Basdeo, 29, of Lexington, was linked to the crime through Crime Stoppers tips and investigative leads, Danielsen said.

The robbery happened at the PNC Bank located at 615 Green Valley Road in Greensboro on Friday afternoon.

Tellers working at the bank at the time of the robbery told detectives that a man passed a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed and no one was hurt in the incident.

Basdeo was taken into custody on Monday afternoon. Officers from the Lexington Police Department assisted in the arrest.

The stolen cash has been recovered, Danielsen said.
