AMBRIDGE, Pa. — A Pennsylvania man is facing at least six months in jail after his landlord found him overdosed on heroin while he was supposed to be babysitting a 2-year-old boy.

“I went and rounded the corner and found him looking dead in the kitchen with that little boy just hugging on his leg,” said landlord Rick Nelson.

WXPI reports this was Justin Kriest’s second overdose in less than two months, with the first coming on Sept. 9.

In court Tuesday, Kriest took a plea of six months to two years in prison, followed by 18 months’ probation.

Kriest is added to a list of growing heroin overdose cases throughout the country.

“We have a young man in town who has overdosed 10 times since July. I don’t know what the answer is,” said Ambridge Police Chief Jim Mann.
