WINSTON-SALEM. N.C. — Saturday marks the last day a well-known furniture store in Winston-Salem will be in business, but the news is not all bad.
Michelle Kinnaman, the store’s owner, has been there for 22 years.
She tells FOX8 it’s time to move on and is retiring.
That’s why today she handed the keys over to her daughter, who already has big plans for the future of the store.
“We’ve had lots of tears. Wonderful customers have come in today, wishing us well, wishing me good luck on my new adventure,” Kinnaman said. “But it’s hard to close the door after 22 years. it is bitter-sweet.”
