Jose Alvarez to plead guilty in 2012 French family murders

WENTWORTH, N.C. — Jose Alvarez, a man charged in the 2012 double homicide of Douglas “Troy” and LaDonna French will plead guilty in Rockingham County Superior Court Friday morning, according to the Greensboro News & Record.

Alvarez has been in the Rockingham County Jail for 317 days. He was arrested on Aug. 25, 2015.

Rockingham County Superior Court Trial Coordinator Barbara Rebb confirmed the hearing Thursday afternoon.

Rebb said Rockingham County Superior Court Judge Ed Wilson will preside at 9:30 a.m.
