GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Hundreds of people camped outside the Greensboro Coliseum Thursday to register early for a free two-day dental clinic.
The North Carolina Missions of Mercy is hosting its annual dental clinic on Friday and Saturday.
Organizers expect to serve about 1,000 people, many who will be able to get thousands of dollars’ worth of dental work for free.
Patients will be able to get fillings, extractions, and lots of other dental work which many people say they can’t afford, even with insurance.
"For many people we're their last stop,” said Dr. Bill Blaylock, director of NC Missions of Mercy. “They can't afford the dentistry, and we're here to try to fill that gap."
The clinic will run from 5:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday and from 5:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday.
