JAMESTOWN, N.C. -- Jamestown residents received quite the scare on Wednesday when rocks and debris from a rock quarry explosion landed in their yard -- even causing damage to homes.

FOX8 received several calls about a blast felt near Riverdale Drive and Kivett Drive at about 1 p.m.

A plant manager confirmed that crews were blasting at a nearby rock quarry.
