House fire displaces seven in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C.–A house fire left seven High Point residents homeless on Monday evening.

The fire at a home on the 2600 block of Cartsen St. was reported at 7:30 p.m.  It took firefighters 45 minutes to control the flames.

The fire started on the second floor, according to one of the residents.

The blaze caused heavy damage to the home.

The Red Cross is assisting residents with a temporary place to stay.
