HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (WTVD) — A Holly Springs assistant teacher faces cyberstalking charges after allegedly setting up two fake Twitter accounts to harass an ex-boyfriend and his family.

Search warrants show 36-year-old Catherine Louise Sartain allegedly posted bogus tweets about her ex’s family.

Investigators say she also posted a fake ad on Craigslist – posing as her ex’s teenage daughter and soliciting sex. Authorities say on several occasions men showed up at the victim’s house.

Sartain is facing five counts of cyberstalking and two counts of cyberbulling.

Officials with Wake County Public Schools said Sartain has been a teacher’s assistant at Yates Mill Elementary School since 2000.

She has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the charges against her.
