HIGH POINT, N.C. — A High Point man says he’s scared to walk outside his home after his roommate’s pet dog was viciously attacked and killed.

It happened early Sunday morning on Brentwood Street. Jay Brim says pit bulls are responsible.

“They just attacked her. They were probably 60-70 pounds. She was maybe 15 pounds,” said Brim.

Brim says the dogs were brown and white, and they ran away down Springfield Street.

High Point police were not able to find the dogs.

“I just want people to know the potential could be a lot worse. It could be a child playing the yard, or an elderly person going to their mailbox,” said Brim. “I don’t want anybody else to have to go through this with their dogs. That’s my main goal is to find out who owns these dogs and just get them off the streets.”
