High Point man pleads guilty in wife’s strangulation death that occurred during argument about money

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man will serve at least 12 years in prison after being sentenced in the strangulation death of his wife in High Point.

The High Point Enterprise reports that 35-year-old Arab Mohamed Ali pleaded guilty on Tuesday to second-degree murder in the February 2013 death of 23-year-old Safaya Dadacha.

He was sentenced to between 12 and 15-and-a-half years in prison, getting credit for time served.

Authorities say the slaying occurred during an argument over money.
