Heavy rain causes flooding in High Point, vehicles stuck

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Heavy rain is causing minor flooding in some areas of High Point Tuesday morning, and causing some cars to become stuck.

Officials say there were reports of two cars stuck in several inches of water around 6:10 a.m. near Prospect Street and Ward Avenue.

High Point PD says this area is prone to flooding.

The people in the vehicles got out safely and were never in danger.
