MONETA, Va. — Just hours after reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward were gunned down during a live interview for the Roanoke-based television station, WDBJ 7, a co-worker returned to retrieve their live truck from the crime scene.

In the video shot by WRAL, the co-worker is seen pausing for a moment and putting his head down on the steering wheel before driving away.

The WDBJ news team returned to the air with heavy hearts Thursday morning and paused for a moment of silence at 6:45, the same time when Parker and Ward were killed.

A grief counselor is on-site to help WDBJ employees cope with the tragedy.
