Highway 109 in Davidson Co. re-opens following head-on collision

UPDATE: All lanes of Highway 109 have re-opened following a head-on collision.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A head-on collision has shut down both sides of Highway 109 in Davidson County.

The crash happened just north of Ledford High School around 7:15 a.m.

The Wallburg and Midway fire departments, as well as Davidson County EMS, are on the scene.

Injuries were reported, but there is no word on the extent of those injuries.
