Gunshots fired during attempted robbery in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police say multiple gunshots were fired during an attempted robbery early Monday in Greensboro.

The victim told police that he got out of his vehicle in the parking lot at 5628 West Market St. shortly before 12:30 a.m. when two men approached him from behind.

The victim ran away when the suspects told the him to get on the ground. Police said as the victim was running, the suspects fired three rounds from a handgun.

Nobody was injured by the gunfire, but two parked vehicles were struck.

The suspects were described as two black males, each with a medium build and standing about 6’2″ tall. They were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black ski masks at the time of the incident.
