Guilford County sheriff extends moratorium on evictions through May 28


GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Guilford County Sheriff Danny Rogers on Thursday announced an extension to the moratorium on tenant evictions.

The extension is from May 15 through May 28.

Starting on May 29, deputies will begin the eviction padlocking process for approximately 140 eviction judgments previously issued.

The existing moratorium on these 140 court eviction judgements first became effective on March 19.
