Greensboro shopping center adding trampoline park

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Mark Gold promised to turn shopping into an adventure last year when he bought Golden Gate center, which had fallen into neglect after one of its anchor tenants, Harris Teeter, closed.

Gold talked of making the center a family destination by opening an adventure park, and he even briefly brought in a traveling zoo that angered some animal activists.

He is back a year later with yet another idea: an indoor trampoline park.

The Canadian businessman has partnered with a Miami businessman to open Air Fun Park in the 35,000-square-foot former Harris Teeter building.
