Greensboro police investigating after person shot near Elm Street, taken to hospital

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police are investigating after a person was shot and taken to the hospital Wednesday night, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.

Around 9:24 p.m., officers responded to the area of North Elm Street and Lindsay Street when they were told about a gun being fired.

When they arrived, police found one person suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries.

There is no suspect information at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
