Victim identified in Greensboro apartment complex homicide

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police are investigating the homicide of a man who was found in an apartment on Farmington Drive Thursday morning.

Police responded to Stonesthrow Apartments around 8:42 a.m. after a concerned person checked on the resident and found him unresponsive.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim was identified as Arnold Arthur Clarke Jr., 34, of Greensboro.

Initially classified as a suspicious death, police collected sufficient information to determine that it was a homicide by Thursday afternoon.

The cause of the death is under investigation.
