GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Club said they plan to host their annual fall barbecue on Thursday, Oct. 24.
Organizers said dine-in and take-out meals will be available between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the organization’s facility at 524 Air Harbor Road.
Meals cost $7 each and the money will be used to raise funds the Special Olympics, youth athletic scholarships and uniforms, and police memorials, organizers said.
The meals will include barbeque pork, coleslaw, baked beans and a drink and will be prepared and served by Greensboro police employees and retirees.
The Greensboro Police Club is a private civic club and has been sponsoring this fundraising event every year since its establishment in 1927.
