GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting at a home earlier this week that left a man in critical condition.

Jeremiah Sumner, 17, of Greensboro, is charged in a shooting that injured 27-year-old Ryan Eugene Pressely.

The suspect has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill after police said he turned himself in on Friday.

Greensboro police were called to a home in the 2300 block of Acorn Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a shooting.

Police said the victim was found outside him home with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He is currently at a hospital in critical condition, according to police.

Investigators said it appears that the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between the suspect and victim. The nature of the dispute remains unclear.
