Greensboro man injured in Virginia shooting

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Police said a Greensboro man was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Lynchburg, Va.

Lynchburg police said they were called to the intersection of 11th Street and Monroe around 12:30 a.m. in reference to shots being fired.

Police said the 48-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
