GREENSBORO, N.C. — The City of Greensboro is looking to rezone property along the High Point Road/Lee Street corridor.

If approved, it means businesses will have to comply with the new zoning regulations when any work is done on a property.

Last month, the city adopted three new zoning districts for the area. That means a change in parking requirements, building heights and fencing restrictions.

Greensboro said the districts are designed to encourage redevelopment in the area.

The city will hold a hearing next week on applying the new districts. Then it will be up to the council to make a decision.
