‘All clear’ issued after suspicious package discovered at Greensboro daycare center

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police issued an “all clear” after a daycare center was evacuated Monday morning due to a suspicious package.

A call came in around 8:30 a.m. about the Early Childhood Development Center, located at 312 W. Friendly Ave., receiving a suspicious package with an odd odor, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

The center was quickly evacuated and the Greensboro Police Department’s Hazardous Devices Unit later determine the package was not a threat.

Greensboro police did not say what the package contained or exactly where it was located at the center.

Children and adults were allowed back inside the building around 10 a.m.
