Greensboro preparing for neighborhood walks

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The City of Greensboro is getting ready to begin its Spring Neighborhood Walks Program.

The program will kick off at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 23.  City leaders say the walks offer them an opportunity to meet with community leaders and residents to discuss community issues.

The first walk will take place in the Kirkwood neighborhood, in Council District 3.

A complete list of walk dates and locations are listed below:

-Monday, April 23, 5:30 p.m. at Kirkwood neighborhood in District 3

-Monday, April 30, 5:30 p.m. at Jonesboro-Scott Park in District 2

-Monday, May 7, 5:30 p.m. at Starmount Forrest in District 4

-Thursday, May 10, 5:30 p.m. at Heath Park in District 1

-Monday, May 14, 5:30 p.m. at Random Woods in District 5
