MIAMI – A 26-pound gold bar worth up to a half-million dollars that was stolen in North Carolina has been found in Florida.

WRAL reported that robbers stole nearly $5 million worth of gold from an armored truck last month on Interstate 95 in Wilson County. The truck was traveling from Miami to Boston.

The FBI is asking for the public’s help in finding other gold bars from the March 1 robbery. Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges.

The robbers stole a total of 275 pounds of gold worth nearly $5 million from the truck.

The robbers identified themselves in Spanish as police before tying the hands of the guards and leading them into woods, according to the FBI.
