Google for Work Gmail is currently experiencing a service-wide outage, Google confirmed on Wednesday.

The outage was first reported around 9 a.m. ET. According to DownDetector, users across the U.S. are impacted

Google offered a workaround for users impacted by the outage:

“We’re investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly. Based on reports, it affects only Google for Work Gmail users. The users are redirected to a page with ‘Service not available, contact your administrator.’ Users can try turning off Gmail and turning it back on to see if it resolves the issue.”

According to the Google Apps Status Dashboard, the outage is also impacting Hangouts.

Google has not said when service is expected to be restored.
