HIGH POINT, N.C.  — Give A Kid A Coat, an annual program that solicits coat donations from area residents to donate to needy children and adults throughout the Piedmont area, has kicked off its 28th campaign at A Cleaner World in High Point.

“We are so pleased to know that more than 18,000 children and adults have received warm coats because of the Triad’s generous support,” said Chris Edwards, president of A Cleaner World.

Southside Bargain Center in Winston-Salem also is a corporate sponsor for this year’s campaign.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the 2014 Give A Kid A Coat campaign may do so by dropping off a coat at any A Cleaner World location beginning Friday, Oct. 10 through Saturday, Nov. 15.  Coats will be cleaned and repaired free of charge, then given to The Salvation Army for distribution.

The kick off was held Oct. 10 at A Cleaner World located at 2527 Eastchester Drive in High Point. A red carpet backdrop was present for guests to take selfies and other photographs with the Fox8 News team.

Those wishing to participate must drop off coats at A Cleaner World. Please do not drop off more than 10 coats at a time.
