WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The January gallery hop kicks off tonight in the Arts District of downtown and a new exhibit is getting people talking about guns and violence in the United States.

“The concept came about after the Aurora, Colorado shootings” said curator Cindy Taplin.

“We were afraid by the time the show came around in January that people would for get about.” Since the recent Newtown shooting that killed 26 including 20 children interest has grown in the exhibit titled “Under the Gun.”

 The event runs from January 4 through February 23 at the Inter_Section gallery, 629 North Trade Street, Winston-Salem.
