ELKIN, N.C. — Four Elkin residents are being charged after a rash of home break-ins across three counties.
The Elkin Police Department on Wednesday executed a search warrant at 225 Pegram Street in Elkin. During the search of the residence, many stolen items were discovered, along with controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Jonesville Police Department and Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search.
The search warrant was the result of many months of investigation into the breaking and entering of residences in the area. The property that was recovered helped clear up many reported thefts, not only in Elkin but also in Jonesville, Wilkes and Yadkin Counties. Victims are being located and property is being returned to the victims.
Those that are currently facing charges are Letonya Ann Sidden, 40, breaking and or entering, larceny after break/enter and possess marijuana paraphernalia; Guillermo Rodriguez, 47, possess stolen goods/property and possess marijuana paraphernalia; Christopher Blaine Settle, 24, two counts of possess stolen property, three counts of larceny after break/enter, breaking and or entering, and possession of burglary tools; and Ashley Nicole Speer, 21, two counts of possess stolen property, breaking and/or entering, larceny after break/enter.
