Forsyth County deputy struck by vehicle at Tanglewood Park entrance

CLEMMONS, N.C. — A Forsyth County Sheriff’s Deputy is in the intensive care unit after he was struck by a vehicle at the entrance to Tanglewood Park during a bike race Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at about 10:06 a.m. and 38-year-old J.T. Isenhour was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center by Forsyth County Emergency Medical Services for treatment. He has been employed by the sheriff’s office since October 2015.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help pay for his medical bills and a charity bike ride is scheduled for him at Tanglewood on Sunday.
