WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — An open house will be held Thursday night for future students and parents at the Career Center in Forsyth County.

The Center, which houses the county’s high school Advanced Placement courses as well as the county’s career and technical programs, opened in January off Highland Avenue near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The school features 30 Advanced Placement courses and 16 different career and technical programs like mechanics and nursing.

“For a lot of the Forsyth County high school population we are still a bit of a secret, so we want to get that word out about lots of good opportunities,” Principal Dr. Dennis Moser said.

Students from anywhere across the county are able to visit and apply for enrollment.  The open house will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
