FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. -- More than 70 percent of students at a Forsyth County middle school are enrolled in the free or reduced lunch program, and some of them are getting food to take home for the weekend.

Second Harvest Food Bank has more than 65 backpack programs throughout the Piedmont. They plan to expand to nine more schools next year.
