Former Winston-Salem police officer pleads guilty to falsifying off-duty work

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. —A former Winston-Salem police officer has pleaded guilty to falsifying hours he worked at an off-duty job, according to The Winston-Salem Journal.

He was reportedly paid nearly $2,000 as a security guard.

Robert Lee Baker pleaded guilty on Friday to two felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

He was a six-year veteran of the Winston-Salem Police department, but was fired in August for “conduct unbecoming and unsatisfactory performance”, according to the Journal.
