Former Greensboro officer arrested on prescription drug charge

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A former Greensboro police officer is charged with trying to obtain prescription pain medicine illegally.

Timothy John Bloch, 34, of 6122 Trotting Place, turned himself in to police in High Point on Thursday.

Bloch is charged with obtaining a controlled substance by defrauding a practitioner. He’s accused of getting Oxycodone, said Susan Danielsen, police spokeswoman.
