HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.  — One of the key figures in the Mike Peterson murder trial is facing new legal challenges.

Former Durham Assistant District Attorney Freda Black was arrested Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. on DWI and damage to personal property charges.

Black was also charged with DWI in October, 2012.

Black served as an assistant prosecutor for Durham County from 1991 to 2005.
